Yes, our biodegradable mulch films break down under composting conditions. Friendly microbes, heat and moisture can fully degrade the film within months after use.

Our compostable nursery bags decompose in soil, so you don’t have to remove them when transplanting. The plant roots will grow through as the material disappears.

In good composting conditions, our materials degrade in months (60–180 days). The process can take longer in fields as the soil temperature and humidity levels are different.

You can custom print biodegradable packaging for your farms if you order in bulk quantities of at least 150 kg. You can request to have your brand logos or farm details printed with eco-friendly ink that also decomposes without leaving any toxic by products.

We offer multiple regular sizes and types of biodegradable bags, films and wraps. Our standard sizes include: 4″ × 6″, 6″ × 8″, 10″ × 12″, and 20″ × 26″ for bags and pouches. Mulch films have a standard roll size of 400–1000 mm with 15-40 microns thickness. 

You can also ask for custom sizes and thickness levels when ordering in bulk.

You can keep compostable bags and films in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight. They will hold up for up to 12 months before use. Also, keep the products off the ground so they stay strong until you’re ready to use them.

Yes. Murth’s biodegradable agricultural packaging meets the CPCB certification and IS/ISO 17088 compostability standards. This means you can buy our compostable products and follow India’s Plastic Waste Management (PWM) Rules.

Our mulch films perform well in tropical and semi-arid regions of India. They resist tearing and degradation during use and can also handle harsh sunlight or moderate to light rainfall.
